Sunday, January 8 was a day of jubilation for PCS community dwellers who witnessed the official opening ceremony of the Paynesville Medical Clinic and Laboratory, held at Global Harvesters Assemblies, a local church in the community. The program which was well attended brought together an array of the community leadership, prominent residents, representatives from the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and Ahead national leadership. Speaking during a brief exhortation on the theme "good works", Pastor Quiah who is also the community's Chair hosted Ahead's effort as a true and selfless manifestation intended to impact the lives of vulnerable communities, beginning with the Cynthia Nelson Clinic in Logan Town and then the Paynesville Medical Clinic and Laboratory
AHEAD Medical and National Directors assured the PCS community that as a religious institution, it is not only confined to winning souls to Christ through evangelism but meeting the critical medical needs of the Liberian people on a jump start (24 hours services) which is an even effective tool.
Presenting a special statement on behalf of the community, Pastor Quiah conveyed an overwhelming message to the President and Board of Directors, Ahead International USA, for the noble assistance and prayed that the Lord continues to explore avenues and provide for the organization in meeting the needs of Liberians.
